I am speaking from experience here folks. It’s so easy to damage
your smart phone, it’s just plain crazy not to get, even a minimalist protective
case for ten bucks. But if your $500 personal mobile life device is important
to you then check out these well-designed and engineered cases from OtterBox.
They start for about $30 for a simple rubber sleeve and go
up to $70 for the Defender series for iPhones, BlackBerrys and more. There are choices
for the iPad 2, Motorola Xoom and PlayBook for about $90. Check it out at www.otterbox.com

In today’s GlobalTV Monday Morning News Tech Talk I featured
the OtterBox Defender series for the iPhone4. It has three shells: one internal
and one external hard shell which sandwich a soft impact absorbing silicone
layer around the phone itself. The connecting points are covered and easy to
peel back. The external case has an adjustable belt buckle and the second hard
case includes a screen protector. It comes in several colours.
I also showed the OtterBox Impact Series for the iPhone4
$39, which features one Impact Absorbing Silicon case with side textured grip
and a self-adhesive screen protector.
For the BlackBerry Torch, the OtterBox Commuter series $50,
has a Silicon inner and outer wrapped hard case which allows free movement of
the sliding keypad as well as a self-adhesive screen protector.
Available at BestBuy, FutureShop and Rogers, TELUS and BELL
outlets.
