A head-on crash between two vehicles in North York has claimed the life of a man.
Toronto police said officers responded to a call about a personal injury collision on Wilson Avenue, west of the Highway 401 Bathurst Street off-ramp just after 11 p.m. Sunday.
Police allege that a 40-year-old man was driving a Honda Civic westbound on Wilson when it crossed over into the eastbound lanes and collided with a Honda Crosstour.
The driver of the Civic was pronounced dead on scene.
The 43-year-old driver and three other occupants of the Crosstour were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
There’s no word if charges will be laid in the investigation and the deceased victim hasn’t been identified. It is unclear as to why the Civic veered into the eastbound lanes.
Police are asking anyone who may have been in the area or have any dashcam footage or surveillance images of the incident to contact investigators.
