Elgin County OPP have charged one man after they stopped a transport truck that was driving the wrong way on Highway 401, near Dutton.
Police responded to reports of a transport truck that had been driving the wrong way at around 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday.
Police say they located the transport truck near the Coyne Road overpass attempting to turn around, and escorted the truck to a nearby service centre.

OPP have since charged a 52-year-old Windsor man with careless driving.

OPP urge drivers to pull over to the nearest shoulder, stop and call police immediately for help, should ever they find themselves driving on the wrong side of a highway.
