Brock University is cancelling all exams scheduled for Saturday due to the possibility of an ice storm this weekend.
An intense weather system is expected to hit southern and eastern Ontario this weekend and bring with it freezing rain and strong winds, which could cause widespread power outages and dangerous road conditions.
Brock says the exams have been rescheduled for April 26 and it will post the times and location next week.
Some 55 exams had been scheduled for Saturday.
In addition, the annual Sankey Lecture, hosted by Brock’s Department of History and that was scheduled for Sunday, has been cancelled and will be rescheduled at a later date.
The school says swimming lessons and first aid classes are moving forward as scheduled, but is encouraging participants to allow extra travel time.
