The Au Gre du Vent B&B is part of the history of Levis, Que., and, in particular, the city’s anglophone heritage. Levis’ growth in the early 1800s was related to its status as a port on the south shore of the St. Lawrence River, across from Quebec City, and the area became known for its shipbuilding. Reflecting that heritage, the A.C. Davie Shipyard has become a maritime museum and a National Historic Site of Canada
