A small black puppy has been rescued after its head became stuck in the centre of a car wheel this past Friday.
According to the Bastrop County Animal Control and Shelter in Texas, the pup’s owner reached out to Wags, Hope and Healing — a rescue group — for help who then contacted the city’s animal services.

The crew who responded said they were curious about how the puppy got its head stuck.
From the jaws of life, to even using oil, nothing was able to get the dog out of the tire and the entire effort was caught on camera and posted on Facebook by Bastrop County animal control.

It was then that firefighter Erick Johns had an idea.

According to NBC, it’s still not known how the puppy got stuck in the first place.
After it was freed, the puppy was reunited with its mother in a video captured by the Bastrop animal control and posted to Facebook.
