Huron County OPP officers are investigating after a vehicle was scratched up in Exeter in what’s believed to be a hate-motivated act.
A resident contacted police on Saturday, March 31 to report the damages to his vehicle, which had been parked in his laneway on Orchard Street.

The officer on scene noted that nearly every vehicle panel was damaged with deep scratches and swirl marks and an ethnic slur scratched into all four sides of the vehicle.

It’s believed the incident occurred between 12:30 a.m. and 8 a.m. on March 31, and officers are treating the mischief case as a hate/bias-motivated crime.
