A man has been airlifted to a Toronto-area hospital after falling off the Holiday Inn in downtown Peterborough early Tuesday morning.
Emergency crews were called to the area around 1 a.m. after reports a man had fallen off the back of the George Street building, landing on the concrete below.
Police say the man was originally rushed to Peterborough Regional Health Centre with a head injury, but was later airlifted to a Toronto trauma centre.
“It appears the male was attempting to climb from one side of a balcony to another when he fell,” stated Lauren Gilchrist, communications coordinator.
Police on Tuesday afternoon said the extent of the man’s injuries are unknown.
