A man pleaded guilty to attempted murder with a prohibited or restricted firearm in a brief court appearance Friday morning at the Kelowna Law Courts.
Tyrone Reynolds McGee admitted he tried to kill Reginald Purdom in August 2016 in West Kelowna.

Purdom was struck by eight bullets fired from silencer equipped 40 calibre pistol while sitting in his vehicle on a West Kelowna street.
Despite his wounds, Purdom was able to ram his vehicle into the bicycle McGee was riding.
Details of the attempted murder will be revealed in an Agreed Statement of Facts when McGee returns to court for sentencing on April 16th.

It’s believed the shooting was an attempt to silence a witness expected to testify against a BC man in a Washington State drug smuggling case.
The Crown will likely drop eight other charges against McGee at the sentencing hearing.
