WINNIPEG – Knysh Funeral Chapel in Beausejour, Man., burned down early Tuesday morning.
“The funeral home is a complete loss,” Mayor Brad Saluk said. “They were quite lucky to save neighbouring buildings.”

Mike and Sheryl Knysh, who also own a Winnipeg funeral home, bought the Beausejour building in December 2010.
The fire appears to have started shortly after midnight and neighbours said the flames reached 40 to 50 feet in the air, Saluk said.
A blacksmith’s building next door sustained some damage, but no one was hurt, he said.
