A man was injured by gunfire while he was in his car in Notre-Dame-de-Grâce early Tuesday morning.
Montreal police received multiple calls about an incident at Upper Lachine Road and Hampton Avenue at 1:25 a.m.

“When police arrived, they found a car with a gunshot through it and its driver door open, along with bullet casings in the area,” said Montreal police spokesperson André-Anne Picard.
“A male victim was found nearby, at the corner of Regent Avenue, with a gunshot wound to his lower body.”
The victim, a man in his 20s, was transported to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Montreal police did not have a suspect nor motive behind the shooting.
Upper Lachine Road between Regent and Hampton Avenue was closed for a part of Tuesday morning during the police investigation.
