Two people were sent to hospital after a fire broke out at the Sunset Towers in Vancouver’s West End.
Vancouver Fire spokesperson Jonathan Gormick says they were called to Barclay Street around 8:30 p.m. on Sunday.
“Crews made access to the third floor and found the fire in a single suite on the third floor,” Gormick said.

He said fire crews were able to contain the damage of the fire.
‘Fortunately, the rest of the building remains habitable,” Gormick said. It won’t be long before the building is ready for occupancy again, he said.
Gormick said the two patients were taken to hospital by BC Ambulance, but their conditions remain unknown.
The building is subsidized and made up of studio and one-bedroom units.
