Hands free car kits get better and better

Today I talked about and showed a hands free speaker phone kit from BlueAnt.

There seems to be an endless stream of such devices but few can match the reputation and sophistication of BlueAnt products.

The BlueAnt Commute, $99, fits on your car visor and uses Bluetooth to communicate with your smart phones. It works best with Siri featured iPhone4s and up as well as newer Androids with Voice Assistant.

It literally speaks out to you when you first start it up for pairing it with your phone.

Here is what you can do without letting go of the steering wheel:

-Make, answer calls or call just call back you last call

-Have text messages read out to you with the option of
dictating a text message back

-Find places and either make a call or get verbal
turn-by-turn driving directions.

The unit is sleek with 20 hours of talk time and 700 hours
of standby time and can handle two phones, even letting both phones connect at
the same time. It can also update your phone’s phonebook contacts and is
effective in noisy cars or rolled down windows.

For Androids there is a free application download for
hearing your text message, whereas the iPhone’s Siri basically handles all
voice command functions through the Commute unit.
