Thousands of Manitobans are still without power.
More than 10,000 people started off their day with outages, but that number has come down significantly throughout the day.
Late Monday afternoon around 3,500 Hydro customers were still without power. Only 45 of those are in Winnipeg.
Manitoba Hydro’s Scott Powell says poor road conditions are slowing down crews trying to do repairs in rural areas.
“It’s making it challenging to get to those locations and once they get there in some cases, we have trouble accessing a location where there’s damage. ”
Powell says the primary issue is that the snow is so heavy that it’s weighing down power lines and causing issues.
He says the warm weather makes things a little easier.
“We’ve been fortunate that it’s been fairly mild and it’s begun to melt off the lines.”
You can report an outage through Manitoba Hydro’s website.
