Saturday Sips: Spring Cocktails
Kaitlyn Stewart, head bartender at Royal Dinette, prepares two cocktails: Gin & Roses and Man in Black
Gins & Roses
1.5oz Tanqueray nº10 gin
0.5oz Rose water gomme
0.5oz Lime juice
Combine all ingredients (excluding the tonic) into a shaker tin and “dry” shake for 5 seconds. Add ice to the shaker tin and “wet” shake. Strain over fresh ice into a collins glass and top with tonic water. Garnish with a cucumber ribbon and dried rose petals.
Man in Black
1.5oz Tonka bean infused Johnnie Walker Black
0.5oz Pear Liqueur
2 bar spoons of Maple Syrup
2 cases Smoke & Oak bitters
Combine all ingredients into a mixing glass. Stir for 10 seconds. Strain into a small rocks glass over fresh ice. Garnish with grated tonka bean and a lemon twist.
