The City of Saskatoon deployed its entire winter maintenance fleet and called in contractors to respond to Saturday’s dumping of snow.
Workers focused on the highest priority streets like Circle Drive, 8th Street, 22nd Street, Idylwyld Drive and College Drive.
The city planned to have workers finish clearing priority routes after the snow stopped before moving to lower-priority areas.

A snowfall warning was in effect for Saskatoon on Saturday with Environment Canada calling for about 10 centimetres of snow, combined with wind.
Snow in Saskatoon could linger into early Sunday morning. On Sunday afternoon, a Colorado Low is forecast to blow in and continue to affect the province through Monday, Cragg said.
From Sunday afternoon to Monday afternoon, areas in the southeast part of the province could see up to 30 cm of snow.
With some farmers’ fields only receiving a dusting of snow all winter, the precipitation may be a welcome change.
“Some areas through this weekend and through to Monday could see more snow than they did from October all the way through to the end of February,” Cragg said.
