Loaded guns seized during break and enter at Saskatoon home

Saskatoon police said two loaded guns were seized after they were called to a break and enter on Tuesday afternoon.

The break-in happened at around 2:30 p.m. CT at a home in the 100-block of Avenue X South.

Officers said they arrived to find two men inside the home who then started barricading themselves inside after refusing to exit.

The homeowner was not at home at the time.

Police forced their way in and took the two men into custody.

Officers said they seized two loaded guns, shell casings, two knifes, a small amount of cocaine, and drug paraphernalia.

The two men, 22 and 24, are facing 30 firearms-related charges.

They are also charged with break and enter, and breaching conditions, and were also wanted on outstanding warrants.
