CAE’s military division awarded $90 million of contracts from several customers

MONTREAL – CAE Inc. (TSX:CAE) has received several military contracts totalling $90 million, including work for the U.S. air force in Taiwan, the company announced Thursday.

CAE makes a variety of simulators used to train pilots, air crews and maintenance crews working on civilian and military aircraft. It also provides direct and indirect support through training, maintenance and upgrades.

Under a subcontract from Lockheed Martin, the Montreal-based company will continue to support training systems for air and maintenance crews assigned to the C-130 transport jets based at the U.S. airforce base in Taiwan.

It will also provide maintenance and support services for the CAE-built C-130H training devices operated by the Taiwan Air Force.

In addition to the work in Taiwan, CAE will provide upgrades on U.S. Navy MH-60S operational flight trainers and weapons tactics trainers, provide continued similar maintenance for the German Armed Forces and provide a variety of support services to an undisclosed military customer.
