A home under renovation in northeast Calgary was destroyed by fire on Tuesday afternoon.

Calgary firefighters were called to a home on Pineplace N.E. just before 5 p.m. after someone called 911.

When crews arrived, the house was fully engulfed in flames, according to Calgary Fire Department spokesperson Carol Henke.

The caller who contacted 911 said all residents were out of the single-family residence.

“Fire crews fought the fire from the outside until fire was under control and they could safely enter the structure,” Kenke said, adding that no one was found inside when firefighters completed their search.
