Winnipeg Jets acquire Joe Morrow from Montreal Canadiens

The Winnipeg Jets swung a deal on NHL trade deadline day to acquire depth defenceman Joe Morrow from the Montreal Canadiens.

Morrow has scored seven goals and 13 assists in 103 career NHL games over four seasons. He was selected 23rd overall by the Pittsburgh Penguins in the 2011 NHL Draft.

Winnipeg received Morrow in exchange for a 2018 fourth-round draft pick.

MOOSE MOVES: The Jets also announced on Monday they’ve sent forward Nic Petan and defenceman Tucker Poolman to the AHL’s Manitoba Moose. Petan has recorded two points in 15 NHL games this season while Poolman has a goal in 15 outings with the Jets.
