Thirty year-old Leonard Glenn Willier of Slave Lake has been charged with second degree murder in relation to the death of Brett Cardinal, 26.
Cardinal’s body was found in a Slave Lake home on March 5th, and an autopsy performed the following day.

A second man was also injured in the incident. Willier has been charged with assault with a weapon in connection with that.
Police say the accused and the victims were known to each other and this was not a random act. Neither of the three men were living at the residence where the incident occurred.
Willier is currently in custody and is set to appear in Slave Lake Provincial Court on March 13th.
