Dirt pile on the move

Crews are finally clearing the pile of pre-load next to Kelowna’s Prospera Place.
The pile has been a regular for the homeless and drug addicts. In 2005, a body was discovered in the pile; foul play was not suspected.
There were plans to build a Westin Hotel on the site but the project lacked funding.
The dirt is being moved to other development sites in the Central Okanagan, including a housing project at the corner of Clifton and Clement in Kelowna.
The City of Kelowna says it has no future plans for the property next to Prospera Place.
