List of road closures from flooding in London

The City of London has closed a number of major roads in the city as a result of the ongoing rainfall across the region. It’s unclear when these roads will reopen.

Roads that have reopened:

  •  Two southbound lanes of Wonderland Road, between Springbank Drive and Riverside Drive
  • An eastbound and westbound lane of Riverside Drive, between Woodward and Wharncliffe Road, however curb lanes will remain closed due to water.
  • Hamilton Road between Commissioners Road and Clarke Road

Roads remain closed:

  •  Windermere Road between Doon Drive and Adelaide Street, North
  • Empress Avenue between Argyle Street and Blackfriars Street
  • Walnut Street, Cavendish Crescent and Wyatt Street
  • Dingman Road between Old Victoria Street and Highbury Road
  • Westminster Road east of Wonderland Road

The following roads were closed yesterday as well:

  • Hamilton Road between Commissioners and Clarke Roads
  • Third Street between Dundas Street and Parkhurst Avenue
  • Pine Street at Hume Street and Adelaide Street
  • Hume Street at Sycamore Street

This list will be updated as more openings are announced.

The watershed has received 25 to 40 millimetres of precipitation since Monday afternoon, with an additional 15 to 25 millimetres forecast between Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning.
