ST. JOHN’S, N.L. – Police in Newfoundland’s capital are searching for a suspect after an armed robbery at a pharmacy Friday evening.
Police in St. John’s say officers were called to the Lawtons Drugs on Campbell Avenue around 6 p.m.

They say a man came into the store and demanded narcotics before fleeing the scene on foot towards Lemarchant Road with a quantity of prescription drugs.
Police say the male suspect is described as pale with strawberry blond hair and was wearing dark clothing, red sunglasses and a plaid scarf at the time of the robbery.
