Environment Canada says that winds will strengthen as the storm intensifies and combine with the snow to create reduced visibility.
“It still remains too early to give an indication of snowfall amounts, but several of the long-range models are now indicating this winter storm will impact much of the province on Christmas Day,” the statement says.
The weather service will continue to monitor the development of this storm.
