Chris Hadfield tweets Valentine’s messages from space

TORONTO – Armed with out-of-this-world love poems and cheesy references to planetary alignment, Twitter users took to social media to spread the love this Valentine’s Day.

It all started when Canadian astronaut Chris Hadfield tweeted, “My heart glows like the Northern Lights when I think of you, my love,” and then asked his Twitter followers to send him their best Valentine’s from space using the hash tag #Valentinefromspace.

Hadfield, well known for his constant presence on social media, quickly began receiving the geekiest of love poems, with references to the Canada Arm, planetary rotations and even Star Trek.
