About 730 children under the care of Batshaw Youth and Family Centres in Montreal have written to Santa Claus with their Christmas wishes — and they may just get what’s on their list.
“It’s an enormous task,” said Frank Campanile, who works in the Batshaw archive department, of the annual toy drive.
The group works with vulnerable children, many of whom won’t be home for the holidays.

Over the course of three months, gifts were donated from organizations, companies and individuals.
Batshaw workers say they hope the annual holiday toy drive will bring the kids a little joy.
“It’s amazing, the generosity of the population,” Campanile said.
“It makes me go forward in terms of thinking about the kids and what they’re going to get.”
