Chelsea Obsniuk has been desperately searching for a replacement for her four-year-old daughter Brielle’s favourite toy: Blue Bunny.

“She’s been so attached to it. It goes everywhere with her. She sleeps with it at night. It’s travelled across the country with us.”

In a heartbreak familiar to any parent, Brielle recently lost Blue Bunny — and has been devastated ever since.

Even worse: she asked Santa to replace it. But that’s proven really difficult, the child’s grandma bought the toy at a Dollarama in 2014 and the family hasn’t seen one anywhere else since.

Amazingly, tucked into one of those comment threads was an exact match for Blue Bunny.

“I was contacted by Nicole in Airdrie, Alberta. Her daughter has an exact match for the Blue Bunny, said Obsniuk.

“Her daughter Peyton is also four-years-old, and she has agreed that she would like for Brielle to have this Blue Bunny.”

Obsniuk is now anxiously waiting for the new Blue Bunny to get  to Winnipeg, though she says she won’t take her Facebook post down until the toy is in her hands.

As for the little girl that gave up her Blue Bunny to make another girl’s wish come true, Obsniuk said she’s working on a special way to say thank you.
