As British Columbians get set to celebrate the province’s first Family Day, B.C. nurses are speaking out about the care families receive at one Lower Mainland hospital.
Nurses will gather Monday at Abbotsford Regional Hospital to voice their concern about changes to pediatric care at the facility.

According to the nurses, plans to convert under-used pediatric beds to adult overflow space in an effort to deal with overcrowding has lowered the quality of care children are receiving.
The Fraser Health Authority denies those claims, saying they have made the necessary changes to ensure patient care is a top priority.
