Calgary police are investigating an alleged sexual assault at a southwest residence on Friday morning.
Police responded to a call at about 5:30 a.m. from two women claiming they were held against their will at a home in the 200 block of 42 Avenue S.W.
The tactical unit surrounded the house and arrested one man after several hours.
“We are currently investigating allegations of sexual assault, drugs, prostitution and weapons,” Staff Sgt. Rob Anderson said.
Police said they’re looking at the possibility one of the women who fled the house was the victim of a sexual assault.
Two witnesses, a man and woman, were also found inside the residence.
All five people involved in the case are over the age of 18. Police believe the two found men in the house are brothers, but said the relationship between the others is unclear.
A neighbour told Global News screams were heard coming from the house at about 11 p.m. Thursday, but police said no calls came in until the morning.
Police expect to issue a search warrant sometime Friday. No charges had been laid as of 1 p.m.
