Peel Regional Police said they got the call, alongside fire and paramedic crews, around 7:30 p.m. to Meadowvale Town Centre after receiving reports of a fight.

Paramedics initially said two male patients in their late 20s arrived in hospital, one with life-threatening injuries and the other in stable condition.

Police later confirmed that the man in life-threatening condition succumbed to his injuries and that there were three victims in total. The third man suffered very minor injuries and was not transported to hospital.

Officers said they’re searching for a group of three to five male suspects.

On Thursday, Peel police identified the homicide victim as 22-year-old Heidrah Shraim of Mississauga.

Investigators are gathering video evidence and are looking to speak with anyone who was in the area at the time of the fight.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at (905) 453-2121, ext. 3205 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
