A Calgary man faces numerous charges, including dangerous driving causing death, after a crash last weekend that killed a young man and injured three other passengers.
Along with dangerous driving, 21-year-old Lieb Woor is charged with failing to comply with a breath demand involving death and operating a motor vehicle without insurance.
The crash last weekend killed 24-year-old Zein El Masri, a student.
Just before the crash, two vehicles were spotted by police officers street- racing on 68th Street near 32 Avenue N.E.
The officers activated their siren and one of the vehicles immediately pulled over.
The second vehicle continued on at a high rate of speed, went out of control and slammed into a pole.
Masri was in the front passenger seat of the vehicle and was killed instantly.
Both speed and alcohol are believed to have been involved.
