A Calgary man has been arrested after Canada-wide warrants for second-degree murder and aggravated assault were issued in a domestic incident in Forest Lawn. Police also found the suspect’s mother in good condition after asking the public for help to locate her.
A man was found dead inside a southeast home, a woman was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and two young children and their grandmother were exposed to pepper spray Wednesday afternoon.

Twenty-nine-year-old suspect Deibi Francisco Monterroso Salazar—who uses the alias David—was found Thursday at a Strathmore-area acreage. He was arrested without incident by the Strathmore RCMP and emergency response team, police said.

Earlier Thursday, police asked for help in finding the suspect’s mother, Mirsa Monterroso Salazar, expressing concern for her well-being.
Police said she was found in Calgary “in good physical condition” and was speaking to investigators.

Police said they will release the identity of the victim after an autopsy is completed.
