The City of Vancouver is holding the first of three open houses Tuesday to consult the public about a new bike and pedestrian route connecting Jericho Beach to the Burrard Street Bridge.
The Point Grey Road – Cornwall Avenue Active Transportation Project proposes a route for pedestrians, cyclists and joggers along the busy two-lane roadway.
The City of Vancouver said the project will address existing safety issues along Point Grey Road and Cornwall Avenue by reducing the volume and speed of vehicle traffic.
The corridor also aims to improve the safety of the intersection at Burrard Street and Cornwall Avenue, according to the city.
Last month, city staff collected and analyzed transportation data to indentify possible options for the route.
Information will be presented to the public at the following open houses:
January 29
Maritime Museum (TK Gallery), 4 to 6 p.m.
1905 Ogden Avenue
January 31
