Anthony Angus Robertson, 22, is facing 22 charges in relation to a fatal accident in Kahnawake.
He appeared in a Longueuil court Monday.
The charges include impaired driving causing death, criminal negligence causing death, dangerous driving causing death, leaving the scene and more.
The crash happened on Veterans Boulevard, a residential street, around 3 a.m. Saturday.
David Lahache, interim public relations officer with the Kahnawake Mohawk Peacekeepers — the local police force in Kahnawake — said the driver lost control of his vehicle and hit a guard rail.
The vehicle then landed on a parked pick-up truck before bursting into flames.

Two men, aged 21 and 17, were killed in the crash.
Three other occupants of the vehicle — all women from Châteaguay — were rushed to hospital for treatment.
The driver sustained minor injuries.
In a news release Sunday, Lahache said one of the victims, aged 18, was still listed as critical, having suffered severe head and neck injuries.

Another, also 18, remains in the ICU of a Montreal-area hospital with a fractured spine and other internal injuries that will require additional surgery.
A 19-year-old was also treated for a broken arm, as well as cuts and bruises.
