Police are investigating after a man was taken to hospital with serious injuries following an early morning stabbing in southeast Calgary.

Emergency crews were called to a local business on the 3800 block of 17 Avenue S.E. at 2:30 a.m. on Saturday.

At the scene, they found a man – believed to be in his 30s – suffering from stab wounds. He was taken to hospital in serious, potentially life-threatening condition. According to police, the man was taken in for emergency surgery but his condition has since been upgraded.

The investigation into the incident is still in its early stages and police do not have any suspects, nor have they made any arrests.
