TransLink working to clear backlog after Millennium Line track issue

If you’re headed downtown by SkyTrain from the Tri Cities, expect some delays this morning.

TransLink is working to clear a backlog of commuters, after a track issue in the Burquitlam Station area disrputed service between the Lougheed and Moody Centre stations.

Bus bridges and a shuttle train were put in place during the disruption.

People boarding trains at Lougheed Station are being advised to look for signage indicating where to board, as their train may arrive on a different side of the platform than usual.

The Expo Line and Canada Line were unaffected by the disruptuion.

Late last month, TransLink was forced to close downtown SkyTrain station platforms due to overcrowding after a track issue caused major delays during rush hour.
