A 62-year-old man was hospitalized after he lost control of his car and hit a tree in Boisbriand Tuesday night.

The man lost control on a curve while exiting Highway 640 West at the Lionel Bertrand exit around 9 p.m.
“We are still investigating the cause of the crash,” said Thérèse-de-Blainville inter-municipality police spokesperson Luc Larocque.
The tree was located a few metres from the road and the car hit the tree at a significant speed.

The driver was alone in the car and transported to a local hospital with serious injuries. He’s in stable condition Wednesday morning.
The Lionel Bertrand exit from Highway 640 West was closed until 3:30 a.m. Wednesday as investigators processed the scene of the crash.
