RCMP are still looking for a suspect after a man and woman were pulled over in a suspicious vehicle on Sunday morning.
Members of the Olds detachment were at the Imperial Industrial park when they realized the vehicle had been reported stolen.
During the traffic stop, the male and female were placed under arrest but the man managed to break free from RCMP and escape.
According to police, the man proceeded to drag the female who was still handcuffed back to the stolen vehicle and took off.
Despite deploying a tire deflation device, the suspect continued to use the vehicle to ram into two police cars.
RCMP followed the suspect vehicle before the man eventually stopped and tried to steal another car from a passing motorist.
When he failed, the male suspect took off on foot.
The female was taken into custody by RCMP but so far, the man hasn’t been located.
No one was injured in the incident but there was extensive damage to property and the two police cars.
Both the man and woman are known to police and charges are pending against the two.
