Alberta election 2017: Morinville results

Barry Turner was promoted from councillor to be acclaimed as mayor, and a new council that was a mix of incumbents and newcomers was elected in the Town of Morinville in Monday’s municipal election.

Returning to the council table are current Deputy Mayor Nicole Boutestein (1,063 votes) and Stephen Dafoe (1,084 votes).

Morinville’s new councillors are Scott Richardson (999 votes), Rebecca Balanko (855 votes), Sarah Hall (821 votes) and Lawrence Giffin (650 votes), according to preliminary results.
