On Saturday evening, RCMP responded to an injured pedestrian just north of the Ochapowace First Nation.

The pedestrian had been hit by a vehicle that fled the scene. The 41-year-old male, who was from the Ochapowace First Nation, was pronounced dead at the scene. RCMP will not be releasing the victim’s name.
The investigation is ongoing.
