UPDATE: Late Friday night, a source told Global News one woman was released and one was taken to arrest processing by homicide investigators.
Two women have been arrested in relation to the death of Fletcher Kimmel, a young Calgary man who went missing last September and was later found dead.
Kimmel, 30, was reported missing on Sept. 26, 2016 after he was last seen at a convenience store in the northeast.
The investigation into his disappearance turned to a homicide investigation when his body was found in a wooded area near the Jumpingpound Demonstration Forest two days later.

Last week, police released new information about his death, saying they believed multiple people were involved, and pleaded with the public once again for any more details.
As a result of that appeal, police said, the investigation led investigators to arrest two women.
Charges are pending against the pair, and their names will be released after they’ve been seen by a Justice of the Peace.
Police still ask anyone with information regarding Kimmel’s disappearance and death to contact them at 403-266-1234 or anonymously contact Crime Stoppers.
