Longueuil police arrest 19-year-old in connection with 2 robberies in 1 night

Longueuil police have arrested a 19-year-old man in connection with two robberies Tuesday night.

The first robbery took place at a business on Bellerose Street in Longueuil.

According to Longueuil police spokesperson Claudine Després, money was stolen and an employee was injured and taken to hospital.

Police say a second robbery occurred around 10:10 p.m. on Goyette Street in Longueuil where a suspect allegedly made off with money.

Després said a suspect was arrested not far from the location.

A 19-year-old man remains in custody.
