Man dead in pedestrian collision on Highway 2 near Christopher Lake

A Black Lake, Sask., man is dead after being struck by a vehicle on Highway 2 near Christopher Lake.

Prince Albert RCMP said the pedestrian was struck by a northbound vehicle early Monday evening.

The 55-year-old man was declared dead at the scene of the collision. His name is not being released by police.

The driver of the vehicle was not physically injured.

Traffic in the area was restricted for several hours while a collision re-constructionist carried out an investigation. Those restrictions have since been lifted.

No charges have been laid and Prince Albert RCMP continue to investigate.

Christopher Lake is approximately 180 kilometres north of Saskatoon.
