Members of the Stony Plain Fire Department were called to the scene as a precaution as ATCO Gas crews worked to fix the line.

At around 9:30 p.m., RCMP said crews had stopped the gas leak. Crews were expected to remain on scene into the night to conduct further repairs.

The Town of Stony Plain said ATCO isolated the line break to a single business. Gas service is expected to be restored by Friday morning.
