A man from Pickering is dead following a head-on collision in Uxbridge, Ont., on Tuesday afternoon.
Durham Region Police say a northbound Saturn collided with a southbound Hyundai Tucson along Lakeridge Road around 2:30 p.m. Both vehicles ended up in opposite-side ditches as a result of the collision.
The 26-year-old driver of the Saturn was pronounced dead at the scene while the other driver, a 33-year-old man from Oshawa, was airlifted to a Toronto-area hospital where he remains in serious but stable condition.

The road was closed for several hours as police investigated. The cause of the crash remains under investigation and police are looking for witnesses.
The name of the victim has yet to be released.
