A man has died after he was hit by a train early Monday morning, not far from the Bronte GO Station in Oakville.
It happened just after midnight.
Halton police say the man was hit by an eastbound train, and there is nothing to indicate anything suspicious in the circumstances.
Investigators have not said if it was a GO Train or a Via Rail train.
The train was released from the scene after approximately two hours, and the railways in the area of the collision were reduced to one track for approximately five hours.
The man’s name has not been released.
