It’s a devastating start to the long weekend for a north Okanagan family.

Their mobile home was destroyed in a fire Friday morning.

RCMP confirm the fire is suspicious and they’ve identified a person of interest in their investigation.

Sgt. Rob Farrer says there’s a good likelihood the fire was deliberately set.

Farrer says witness statements have been taken but wouldn’t say if anyone has been arrested.
