London’s East Park hopes to attract visitors from across the region and beyond with a new feature being built in time for next summer.
The amusement and water park on Hamilton Road will soon begin construction on a wave pool that’s slated to open next June.

“It’s about 50-ft. wide at its narrowest point and 160-ft. long and almost that wide at its widest point. Fits over 500 people,” general manager Alon Shatil told AM980.
“We’re going to hope to draw people from further afield so good for tourism in London, help us continue the growth that we’ve had. We’ve put ongoing improvements to East Park over the years with the water slides, the water climber, and the indoor activities before that.”
Shatil added that the renovations will also include a new lounge area and pavilions. A new dedicated parking area for golfers is also in the works.
Construction is expected to be completed by June 2018.
