Air Canada has released its top 30 best new restaurants for 2017 and seven of them are from Alberta.
This year’s finalists celebrate “the delectable diversity that is Canadian cuisine,” the company said in a news release.

The airline listed the nominees for Canada’s Best New Restaurants Wednesday, in partnership with American Express. Restaurants are selected after one writer is sent on an anonymous month-long dining trip from coast to coast to determine the most notable new openings, based on the recommendations from a panel of food experts.
The top spots include Alder Room, Cafe Linnea and Clementine in Edmonton; Chartier in Beaumont; Deane House and Bar Von Der Fels in Calgary; and Hayloft in Airdrie.

The annual Top 10 ranking will be unveiled at a gala event in Toronto and on CanadasBestNewRestaurants.com on Oct. 19, 2017. The final 10 will also be showcased in the November issue of Air Canada enRoute magazine.
